The framework I am building toward keeps expanding in ways I did not anticipate when I started. Every new data set I pull finds another way to confirm the same thing, and that is usually the sign that something real is underneath it rather than something I built to fit what I already believed.
The core of it comes down to this: somewhere along the way we decided that because we are not the center of the universe or the natural environment, we must not be the center of anything. That instinct is mostly right. But for the economy specifically, we are the center. The economy has no purpose except to serve the people inside it. That sounds obvious when you say it out loud, and yet it is not how the official measurement framework is built. That gap is where the whole theory lives.

Some of the greatest losses in my life came not from storms, but from realizing I had spent years building toward destinations I never consciously chose.
There is a strange grief in that realization, but also freedom.
Better to change course than spend a lifetime defending the wrong shore. 🤍

Thanks for sharing and yeah these moments do come with their own grief because you are technically killing an old part of yourself to build a new version of yourself.
